How do I gain Rank?

Plug Ins
You will need to have Quicktime and Flash 7 plug ins to experience RaceToMars.tv. If you do not have these plug ins, or you do not have the correct version, please click on the links provided.

What if I forget my Login information?
If you have forgotten your login information, please send a message to “password@racetomars.tv” and enter in your email address. We will reset your password and email you the information that you need.

Why is my username not accepted during the registration process?
You may be using a username that is already reserved by someone else. Please try another. Usernames should only contain letters and numbers, and the case does not matter. The system will not accept your username if you use incorrect characters, or too many.

Registration Help

How do I change my Username?
Once you have completed your login, you need to go to the Preferences section of the site and choose "User Settings". You can change your Username there. Remember that changing your Username means that your old Username will be made available to other new users. You may also want to let your friends know after you have made the change, what your new Username is.

How do I change my Password?
Once you have completed your login, you need to go to the Preferences section of the site and choose "User Settings". You can change your Password there. Remember that it is good to choose a Password which is easy for you to remember but isn't obvious to others. Keep your Password private!

How can I change my contact email information?
Once you have completed your login, you need to go to the Preferences section of the site and choose "User Settings".

I have upgraded my Internet connection. How can I change my Internet connection settings?
Once you have completed your login, you need to go to the Preferences section of the site and choose "User Settings". If your Internet connection speed has changed you can reset your speed there. Please note that choosing a higher setting than your own can result in performance problems.

Message Board Help

How do I post a message to a Message Board?
Visit the Message Board that you are interested in by clicking on the appropriate icon. When you want to post your own subject, click "Post a New Topic" and start entering your message. When you are done and you are ready to post, click the "Submit" button.

How do I respond to a Message Board posting?
Click on the subject that you want to read and/or respond to. If you want to respond to the other messages, simply click on "Reply to this Topic" and start typing your message. Click on "Submit" when you are ready to post.

Flagging Help

What is Flagging?
RaceToMars.tv is a site that is moderated by the community. We want you to have fun in a safe web environment that is free of content that may be considered offensive.
By Flagging, you are participating in our moderation system. Items that are flagged will be reviewed by a moderator to determine whether or not they violate the Code of Conduct. If you Flag something for moderation, you are making a very serious claim…

You have the right to flag anything on the site that you feel does not follow the RaceToMars.tv Code of Conduct. To Flag an item, click on the "Flag" icon. Then, type a short explanation that tells the moderator why you are flagging, and submit your Flag.

TheRaceToMars.tv moderator knows who is Flagging whom. If you send excessive Flags, you will be contacted. If necessary, your access to the site may be limited.

How do I gain Rank?

There are 3 ways to gain rank:

Write in your Flight Log 100 SitePoints daily for making an entry on your personal Flight Log. No additional points for mulitple entries on the same day. Post on the Message Boards 50 SitePoints daily for making a post to the Message Boards. No additional points for multiple posts on the same day. Game Play 50 SitePoints daily for each game you play.
